Purcell - King Arthur
A performance of Purcell's semi-opera King Arthur recorded at this year's Utrecht Early Music Festival. The story is not about Camelot but concerns the battles between King Arthur's Britons and the Saxons; and Arthur's attempts to get back his beloved, the blind Cornish Princess Emmeline, who has been taken off by his rival, King Oswald.
